Written from Ewart Park, Northumberland.

Says she hopes to go back to Neuchatel for Easter so can take the cheque for her father when she goes. JB greatly interested in the accounts of the good meetings the American ladies had in Bristol. They are getting on with preparations for the Congress. Death of Sir James Stansfeld a great blow; also felt deeply on the Continent. Mild winter has helped JB to keep well.

In the Shield of Mar 1898 (p 87) is an account of a meeting held at the Victoria Rooms, Clifton on the night of 4 Feb to hear an address on 'the Re-enactment of State Regulation of Vice in India'. Mrs Andrew and Dr Bushnell addressed the meeting 'not as an advocate or a plea but as a witness'
