Scope and Content

Written from 39 Clarence Square, Pitville, Cheltenham.

Asking her to write to Mr Bligh in her name to warn him that 'the picture he has drawn of the state of Sidney is precisely what will be used powerfully by the Regulationists as a reason for establishing the CD Acts. If people are offended by indecent behaviour in the streets a law should be passed against indecent conduct in public places applicable to both sexes. But 'Christian work and moral and spiritual agencies will alone repress and rebuke this evil'.
