[Sunday] 9 May [1886] 'I hope it is not now too late to secure a room at Cannon St. I am telegraphing for Thursday at 2.30 to have the room.' This would be for 12 May. (See letter of 7 May). 'could we have a Committee then [on the 17th], and again another, with Miss Wigham, Mrs Backhouse etc. during or after the week of the Friends Yearly Meeting?' The Friends' annual meeting was held as a rule in 3rd to 4th week of May. JB usually attended it.
