Copy of letter signed by Josephine Butler. Written from Wimbledon Common [she went to live with her son at the death of her husband in 1890 at Wimbledon]. Asks him if he could attend the Congress in Brussels to be held 5-7 Oct. Members of the Belgian Government who are friends of the Abolitionist cause want as many medical men as possible to attend. So could he come and persuade any other MDs. Enclosed is a Circular Letter, printed dealing with the situation in Brussels for the Information of those attending congress.
