Written from Hotel d'Angleterre, Rome.

Looks back with such pleasure to her stay with her sister; she will always love 'dear Naples' because of the sweet memories of the love and kindness which surrounded her there. Stuart met her at Rome; he was disappointed that Hatty had not come with her. George (her husband had gone down with fever early in the week, but had recovered thanks to Stanley and had gone off on the Wednesday to get back for beginning of the College term. Has a meeting there next day at 4; then go to Florence on Saturday.
