Dec 1874 Stanley Butler (second son) accompanied his mother to Paris on her first continental expedition in the crusade against state regulated vice. Stanley stayed on for a week in Paris and then when his elder brother George arrived on Saturday the 19th they spent the Sunday quietly together and then George and Stanley went off together on the Monday for the Antibes. 'I did not wish them to stay any longer in Paris' their mother said
