Administrative / Biographical History

'I have promised my God that I will sound my little trumpet of courage and hope till my last breath.' Up to 1900 JB had published her monthly news sheet 'Storm-Bell' (last issue Jul 1900) but found it too much for her to carry on. She never, however, ceased her writing whether personal letters of encouragement, criticisms of what she disapproved, or religious articles which she sent to 'Wings' for publication.('Wings' was the official organ of The Women's Total Abstinence Union' ed Miss Forsaith)(See PC from JB to Miss Forsaith 16 Sep 1897 and letter 28 Nov 1903) 'Dr Moule, bishop of Durham' - A leading Evangelical Churchman
