Written from 32 Scarisbrook New Road, Southport.

Asking her to send the petition to secure signatures re the CD Acts and gives various names and addresses to send papers to. Note by JB reads 'I have sent the papers to these addresses JEB'

Administrative / Biographical History

This address must be that of a boarding house or Guest House in Southport as Mrs Elizabeth Andrew (the American lady) when she writes from Southport (see letter of 21 Dec 1897)

Finally JB giving Miss Forsaith an itinerary of her travels in 1899 says:

'From the 30th of Apr to the 3rd of May I shall be

c/o Miss Annie Smith, Barachah, Scarisbrook New Road, Southport

(See letter of 23 Apr 1899)

'This lady writes: 'There will be a large Convention held in Southport the last week in this month and Barachah will be filled with friends'

She refers to Mrs Andrew as if she knew her well.
