Telling him that he has just sent out to the various papers (Christian) in India advocating the formation of a Conference of Chaplains, officers and others interest in the movement for the abolition of State controlled vice. Mr Findlay 'who is out strongest man in India' says that he, as a missionary has no time for enquiring into affairs in Cantonments, but it is the imperative duty of Chaplains to do this. He suggests possible composition of such a Conference and is optimistic about what they would be able to do. Only difficulty what place of meeting to choose.
