Administrative / Biographical History

Date and Address: JB had been very ill several times in 1900. In this letter she speaks again of how even to speak gives her pain; also: 'I have no nurse now - Mrs Thomas ill - and I suffer much' This would indicate she was staying with her sister, Mrs Thomas. (See letters with that address 20 and 22 Jun 1900)

In letters of 28 Feb and 27 Jun she mentions how kind and helpful her sister has been to her during her illness which shows that she was staying with her sister (Mrs Thomas) the first part of this year covering her illness, till she went north to Ewart at the end of Jun
