Scope and Content

Written from Newcastle-on-Tyne. Forwards copy of letters received from Mrs Butler that morning. Glad to see they welcome the employment of one or more agents. Poor Mrs Butler. 'She is a sincere Christian and bears up with these trials nobly.' He has someone in mind whom he thinks would do for an agent and he will sound him on the subject.
