'I did write to Mr Bennett'. He sent
her questions to a real Chaplain who will send her the answers. Does not quite understand 'why he called the Army Health Association Report so wicked'. She disliked the Chaplain's article both for its manner and its coarseness of speech, but thought there were some very good points in both the Report and handbook. She advocates drawing the line between the controversial and the uncontroversial; thus they are both against vice and both for curing disease. Over compulsory treatment for women, however, they enter the controversial.
'The Conference was splendid'. This was the International Conference of the Federation held at Berne on 14-20 Sep 1896. For details of it see the 'Sentinel' Oct 1896 p 131)
