Written from Winchester. About arrangements for the LNA Meeting at Derby, Jan 28 1884. Also that Miss Bewicke had written to Josephine Butler to say that the London Branch had decided to have a day of prayer and conference in the lower Exeter Hall on the same day as the big Exeter Hall meeting. Thus the expenses will not be so heavy for the LNA [See Note]

'She [JB] will settle with Mr Longdon about the meeting at Derby ...' These were the arrangements for the Annual Meeting of the LNA fixed for 28 Jan 1784, at Derby. [Miss Bewicke has written] 'to say that the London Branch had decided to have a day of prayer and conference in lower Exeter Hall and that they would have it on the same day as the big Exeter Hall meeting.' The public meeting of the LNA was held on 6 Feb 1884 in Exeter (Great) Hall and was preceded by an all-day meeting of prayer.
