She sends him a pamphlet she has written and asks him to observe the facts in it for she sees he must be ignorant of many of the facts of Society; such as there are more than two and a quarter million of unmarried women in England working for their own bread. If they are to be shut out from all trades there is the alternative of starvation or prostitution
