Copy letter from Signor Guiseppe A Nathan

Dear Sir

I beg to forward you a copy of the address a few of the most influential signatures of the Italian Central Committee the object of which is to secure the repeal of the laws and regulations which license prostitution in Italy. From the attached you will see that the views of the Italian Central Committee is identical with yours, i.e. that the ground on which it bases its opposition is that these laws are immoral, unconstitutional and incapable of attaining even the promised immunity from disease. So we would feel exceedingly grateful if your Committee would send us a word of encouragement which we would publish contemporaneously with our address, as your moral support would have an immense influence on public opinion and thus greatly enhance our chances of success.

Begging you to excuse the liberty I take in thus addressing you

I remain, dear Sir,

Yours Truly

(Signed) Joseph A Nathan
