Scope and Content

Written from Eversley, Bedford Hill, Balham (Mrs de Selincourt's home)

She is thankful Mrs Wilson has undertaken the paper at the Congress of Women Workers. Mme Bieber-Boehm's pamphlet is recent and has never been answered by them. A German friend tells her that it is widely distributed in Germany, and adds 'I am glad to find myself accused of immorality in such good company'.

Administrative / Biographical History

'I am thankful you will undertake that paper'

That was the paper that JB had offered to give at the Congress of Women Workers but ill health prevented her (see letter of 22 May 1899).

Also for letters on the Congress, see 11 and 18 Apr, JB to Miss Forsaith.

For note on Bieber Böhm, see letter of 22 Apr 1899.
