Written from Villa Meuricoffre, Naples. Had a tooth out which was followed by a bad attack of bleeding from the gum which weakened him. An invitation from his mother and Aunt Hatty to come out and stay with them if he can get away. A note added by JB to say they are anxious about his father and the doctor warned them that the loss of blood was not a good symptom in his state. Would he therefore try to come out and see them during the winter.
