Scope and Content

Written from Winchester (dictated). After a talk with Prof Stuart she gives his plan of actions: with Mr Stansfeld to apply to the Secretaries of State for India & the colonies as to whether they have obtained any assurance from these countries about the repeal of the CD Acts. If there is delay to ask a question in the House and if there is more delay to bring in a resolution that the logical outcome of Repeal of Acts in England should be their repeal in India & the Colonies.

He also suggests that they should bombard their friends rather than their enemies in the House with memorials and petitions so that they would realise that the fight is still on and their help needed.

At the end she thanks her friend for the resolution passed by the Committee on behalf of M Humbert.
