Mr Rendall
He was not, as suggested in a pencil note on letter, Headmaster of Charterhouse, as the Rev William Haig-Brown was Headmaster from 1863 to 1897. Mr Rendall may therefore have been a House Master. The school moved from London to Godalming in 1872
The book 'Vox Populi' in which were printed some letters addressed to JB by working men was published in 1871. Letters dealing with the subject are as follows: 15 Feb 1873 JB to Miss Priestman; 22 Apr 1875 JB to Mr Wilson; and 20 Apr 1875, a letter of introduction by JB for Edmond Jones, President of the Working Men's Association
