Written from Winchester (dictated). Hopes they will have at their next Committee a copy of the last Pall Mall Gazette with Mr Caine's account of the CD Acts in Egypt. Mr Stead writes to me that 'this is the first shot fired and believes it means a great battle coming on'. She refers to her little book which she has just dispatched to her friend and she hopes the Federation will pay at least half of the expense.
