Includes sketches of places in England (particularly South Shields) relating to Scott and his family, depictions of Gibraltar, Wesleyan Methodist mission property in Ceylon [Sri Lanka] including at Galle, Jaffna, Point Pedro, Trincomalie [Trincomalee] and Batticaloa as well as for St Thomas' Mount in Madras [Chennai, India].

Rev Luke Scott (1837-1878) served the Wesleyan Methodist Missionary Society in Ceylon [Sri Lanka] from 1862 to 1868.

Within the records of the (Wesleyan) Methodist Missionary Society is the official correspondence for Luke Scott (MMS/Ceylon/Correspondence/FBN 5-6). Two additional letters by Scott to John Kilner from 1866 are also available (MMS/Special Series/Various Papers/FBN 44).
