Scope and Content

John Taylor of York, esq., only son and heir-at-law of Thomas Taylor, late of Gate Fulford, esq., deceased, and Fanny, his wife of the first part; John Wright of York, esq., and Timothy Mortimer of York, gent., of the second part.
A messuage in Gate Fulford, now in the tenure of George Waite or his assigns; a close of meadow or pasture, being old enclosure, containing 6 acres 21 poles, now in the tenure of James Rhodes or his assigns; several closes of arable, meadow or pasture, containing 80 acres 2 roods 7p., including a piece of ground for a road, and lately allotted from Gate Fulford fields upon their enclosure; all which closes were late in the tenure of William Chaphill, Samuel Wormald, Robert Hotham, George Coates, Junior, William Juke, Robert Hewson, Thomas Wharton, Richard Wood, William Meeke, Leonard Terry and Joseph Mollett or their assigns; a close of arable, meadow or pasture, containing 5 acres 2 roods, lately allotted from Gate Fulford fields, together with the ground on which the Well House and gardens formerly stood, containing 6 acres, now in the tenure of Stephen Poppleton or his assigns; 3 closes of meadow called the Little Ings, in Gate Fulford, containing 12 acres 3 roods 11 poles, now in the tenures of Stephen Poppleton, John Lawson and George Waite or their assigns; 4 closes or arable, meadow or pasture containing 25 acres 3 roods 21 poles, being 2 separate allotments lately allotted from that part of Gate Fulford Common called Abby Croft Hill, and now in the tenures of George Wilkinson and Robert Godson or their assigns.
To the use of John Taylor, John Wright and Timothy Mortimer, and the heirs and assigns of John Taylor; in trust nevertheless, as to the estates and interests of John Wright and Timothy Mortimer, for John Taylor, his heirs and assigns, for ever.
