Admission of Nicholas Edmund Yarburgh of Heslington, esq., following the surrender made out of court on 25 June 1831 (sic) by William Mitton of Selby, gent., eldest son and heir at law of Henry Mitton, late of Snaith, maltster, deceased, following purchase.
Close or parcel of land, formerly in the tenure or occupation of Samuel Taylor, and then of Thomas Townrow, containing 4 acres 34 poles, and formerly part of the open fields of Cowick, having lands belonging to Yarburgh to the east, those of viscount Downe with ancient enclosures to the west, other ancient enclosures and Yarburgh property to the north, and the Thorne road to the south.
Henry Mitton had purchased the lands from Jeremiah Rhodes, Mary his wife, and Ann Peacock.
