Scope and Content

William Jameson of York, gent., of the first part; Joseph Holmes of Gate Fulford, gent., of the second part; William Hotham of York, esq., and alderman, Richard Townend of York, esq., and Jonathan Gray of York, gent., of the third part.
A messuage fronting the street of Gate Fulford, with a coachhouse, stable and gardens, now in the occupation of John Moor, esq.; an orchard behind the house, sold by William Jameson to Thomas Harrison, esq., and now belonging to William Johnson; a messuage lately erected by William Jameson in the said orchard, with a two stand stable, which were late in the possession of Mrs Miller, and are now in that of William Jameson; a moiety of 2 closes of arable, meadow or pasture called Brecks Closes, at Gate Fulford, containing 10½ acres, late in the occupation of John Thompson and now in that of William Jameson and Samuel William Nicoll, esq.; a moiety of the stable and haychamber erected in the said closes; which closes and premises were late part of the freehold estate of John Taylor, esq., and were purchased from him by Robert Ellin, of whom William and John Jameson, gents., purchased them in undivided moieties.
