Lease

Nicholas Waller of Sykehouse, gent.; William Bedforth, John Twistleton, William Loveday, and William Turner of Womersley, husbandmen.
Close of pasture called Greenacres, containing 40 acres; parcel of meadow called Kitting, containing 3 acres; parcel of wood ground called Kitting spring, containing 1½ acres and adjoining Greenacres.
For 21 years, from Lady Day last past, at £8 per annum payable in equal parts at Whitsun and Martinmas, or within 14 days thereof, at the house of Edmund Yearbrough, gent., in Balne, together with the carriage of two wain loads of coal from the pits (they being there paid for by Waller).
Tenants may remove the woods, except for the breadth of one land or more (at the discretion of Waller) on every side, to maintain a fence, and except for 1 acres of wood on any part of the premises, at the discretion of Waller.
If Waller is evicted from the whole property, the arrangement is to be void; but if he is only partly evicted, then the rent shall be reassessed at the decision of four impartial observers.
