Scope and Content

Thomas Kilvington of Ripon, esq., and Joseph Buckle of York, gent. (trustees appointed in the will of James Lamb, late of St Maurice, outside Monk Bar in the suburbs of York, gent., deceased), of the first part; John Hotham of Osbalwick, esq., and William Winn of York, innholder, of the second part; Thomas Crosley of St Maurice, York, gent., of the third part.
Freehold messuages and lands in York and the suburbs of York; a freehold messuage and lands in Claxton; a messuage and lands in Holtby; a barn and lands in Huntington; a moiety of the leasehold manor of Heslington; a moiety of certain leasehold lands in Heslington and Dunnington; certain leasehold closes called Westlands, in Heworth.
To the use of Thomas Kilvington, John Hotham and William Winn for ever (as far as the freehold lands are concerned); and to the use of the same during the lives of certain persons mentioned in other indentures (as far as the leasehold lands are concerned).
All the household furniture and other goods and chattels bequeathed by James Lamb to William Withers, Thomas Kilvington and Joseph Buckle are also conveyed to Thomas Crosley; upon trust that Thomas Crosley will re-convey the goods back to William Withers, Thomas Kilvington and Joseph Buckle by a further indenture.
