Scope and Content

Thomas Rickard, of Hatfield, gent.; Anthony Eyre of Rampton, Notts., Esq. and Jervis Eyre, son and heir apparent of Anthony Eyre.
All freehold lands in Balne belonging to Thomas Rickard, now or late in tenure of John Huscrofte and Charles Midleton; all freehold lands and messuages belonging to Thomas Rickard in manor of Hatfield and Hatfield Woodhouse.
For ever; to the use of Thomas Rickard during his natural life; after his decease, to the use of his eldest son and his heirs male, and if the eldest son have no issue, to the use of his second son and his heirs male, and so on; and, if Thomas Rickard have no sons, to the use of his daughter or daughters and their issue likewise; and, if Thomas Rickard have no children, to the use of Robert Eyre, son of Anthony Eyre, and his heirs for ever; provided that Thomas Rickard may make a jointure during his natural life to such woman as he shall marry of an annuity of £13.3.4d. for her natural life.
