Scope and Content

Admission of Robert Bowland senior of Rawcliffe, following surrender made out of court on 8 October 1685 by John [Dawney], viscount Downe, and Anne Padgett.
1 acre moor in Cowick moors, having now or lately the moor of Paul Rudd to the north and that of John Dawnay, esq., to the south, with the moor itself to the east and the common called Dykemarsh to the west being now or late in the tenure or occupation of Padgett.
To Bowland's use for his life, and thereafter to use of Robert Bowland junior, his son and heir.
