Nowell to marry Elizabeth, Grice's daughter, before next Michaelmas. Nowell to convey to her, or to trustees to her use, lands worth £16 clear, for her natural life. Conveyance to be made before next Michaelmas. After her death, lands to Nowell and his heirs male by her. Before Michaelmas, Nowell will also make good assurance at law of all other lands and manors at Bawne, Pollington, Whitlay, Snaythe, Cowick, Sykehowses, Haitefield, and elsewhere in Yorks., to use and possession of himself, his heirs male begotten of Elizabeth, and thereafter to his right heirs, apart from freehold and copyhold lands worth £6-13-4d per annum.
Grice to pay Nowell £100, and also lend £20 within 6 days of Martinmas if requested, for 1 year. Gives £10 now. He also to pay for wedding feast, etc.
