Photocopy scripts

Scope and Content

This sub-class contains a series of modern photocopies of scripts and associated material, the originals of which are not included in the archive. The originals date from 1933 to 1958, and apart from FRD1/2/3/5 (a copy of T.S. Eliot's Murder in the Cathedral) they all relate to films in which RD appeared. The process of shooting Goodbye, Mr. Chips is well-represented here, in the form of a shooting schedule, work orders and daily call sheets for filming.

Arrangement

This material was photocopied by the Donat family before the archive came to the Library, presumably sometime during the early-mid 1990s. FRD1/2/1 includes some original scripts relating to Goodbye, Mr. Chips and The Inn of the Sixth Happiness.
