This chronological series of files superseded the original alphabetical sequence of executors' files. They contain a wide range of correspondence and accounts relating to the executorship of RD's estate, and in particular to royalties received from sales of recordings of his poetry readings and from broadcasts of recordings. Contents include: correspondence with Arthur L. Sutcliffe & Co., chartered accountants, relating to the executor's accounts, including statements of account, annual distribution statements and tax certificates; correspondence between John Donat and his siblings Joanna Wellington and Brian Donat relating to the executor's accounts; and correspondence and accounts with the BBC, Christopher Mann Ltd, Decca Record Company Ltd, EMI Ltd and Phonographic Performance Ltd relating to royalties and fees for various recordings by RD, and for films The Cure for Love and The Winslow Boy.
FRD2/2/5/18 is RD's death certificate, stating that he died on 9 June 1958 at West End Hospital, Westminster, of cerebral thrombosis and bronchial asthma; and FRD2/2/5/19 is a photographic copy of RD's will dated 15 May 1957, with a photographic copy of the grant of probate to John Annesley Donat dated 24 November 1958. FRD2/2/6 includes some xeroxes of correspondence between RD and Leslie Banks, supplied by Richard Huggett.
