Includes news about rehearsals, notices, reviews, articles on the actors and on Greenwood. The cuttings also document the play's provincial tour before it opened in London.

Includes one loose piece (originally inserted in the volume amongst the cuttings relating to the Manchester performance): this is a cutting from The Bookseller (11 September 1954) about Mr Joe Cheetham of Sherratt and Hughes bookshop in Manchester who reminisces about visits to his shop by various personalities including Frank Benson, James Bernard and RD.
