Video recordings

Scope and Content

Modern video recordings of films in which RD appeared or to which he contributed, made on standard VHS cassette tapes and acquired by John Donat. One is a commercial recording and the others have been supplied by the relevant archival institutions which hold the original films. They are as follows:

  • /1 Cash (1934): commercial video, produced by Video Classics, Inc. as part of the Video Film Classics series; copyright Kartes Video Communications, Inc. (1984).
  • /2 The New Lot (1943): video provided by the Film and Video Archive of the Imperial War Museum (reference DRA 443 01-05). Stored with an annotated typescript sheet providing information about the film.
  • /3 The Stained Glass at Fairford (1956) and The British - Are They Artistic? (1947): video provided by the National Film and Television Archive at the British Film Institute.
  • /4 The Cure for Love (1949): video provided by the National Film and Television Archive at the British Film Institute.
