Labelled "5. Theatrical cuttings (2)", containing both reviews and more general articles as in FRD1/6/2/4; these date predominantly from 1936-7. Topics covered include: well-known personalities associated with theatre, eg. Henry Irving, Alec Rea, and Dodie Smith; acting and theatre generally, including the future of repertory, British theatre, and the issue of establishing a National Theatre; the withdrawal of Red Night (1936); the radio play Paolo and Francesca by Stephen Phillips (n.d.); other radio broadcasts RD was involved in; various stage productions not involving RD, such as Olivier's Hamlet at the Old Vic; and the Liverpool Playhouse Silver Jubilee (November 1936).
