The deeds record transactions affecting properties in Stapleford, Basford and Nottingham,Nottinghamshire and in Gillingham, Kent, between 1773 and 1884.

The earliest is a tripartite marriage settlement between John and Hannah Jackson and John's heirElizabeth Jackson (bride) of Stapleford, Nottinghamshire; Thomas Brailsford of Bolsover, Derbyshireand his heir Thomas Brailsford (groom) of Scarcliffe, Derbyshire; and Samuel Brailsford ofRowthorne, Derbyshire and Christopher Smith of Morley, Derbyshire. 1773 (MS 631/1).

Other deeds include: mortgage for messuages and premises on Drury Hill, Nottingham from JohnMorris of Nottingham, to John Hedderly, victualler of Nottingham and his trustee, John Hedderley ofNottingham, druggist. 1832 (MS 631/2);

Mortgage of buildings and hereditaments at Basford, Nottinghamshire from John Brown coalminer ofBasford, David Johnson starchmaker, Samuel Townsend gardener, Joseph Chambers coalminer, JamesStimpson bleacher, John Meakin coalminer, Thomas Barrath glovemaker and Samuel Kirk coalminer, toNicholas Charles Hurst of Bath. 1852 (MS 631/3);

Mortgage of a messuage at 3 Medway Villas, Gillingham, Kent from Phoebe Ann Elizabeth Rhind widowto Alice Weekes widow. 1877 (MS 631/4);

Lease of land and premises in Great Freeman Street and Granger Street, Nottingham from theBorough of Nottingham to Thomas Farnham of Nottingham iron merchant. 1884 (MS 631/5).
