The Scottish Steel Makers' Association amalgamated (c. 1922) with the Steel Ingot Makers' Association, the North of England Iron and Steel Manufacturers' Association and a small rolling mill organisation in the Midlands, to form the Iron and Steel Trades Employers' Association. The association established divisional areas.
