Administrative / Biographical History

Hafod Uchtryd, 15km inland of Aberystwyth, is recognised as one of the finest picturesque landscapes in Europe. The surviving historic features of the demesne lay neglected until the 1980s, and there was increasing public awareness and concern for Hafod. This led to the formation in 1987 of the Friends of Hafod, a local voluntary society. The group has accumulated an enormous archive of materials relating to the estate. They assist the preservation of the historic demesne of Hafod Uchtryd, by documenting, conserving and renovating the features.

Arranged into the following: catalogue of items; activities; and newsletter.
