Administrative / Biographical History

Capel Bethania and Capel Hyfrydfa, Manod, were Independent Churches in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Merionethshire. Bethania was the first Independent Church in the parish of Ffestiniog, and was established in November 1818. As Bethania's congregation grew, the church was forced to establish several daughter chapels in Ffestiniog to reduce the congestion. Capel Hyfrydfa was the last of these offshoots and was founded 11 December 1879.
