Typed letter from Frederick Lanchester to Robert Lockhart concerning his comments on which titles are available and at what price

Scope and Content

Lanchester notes that he gave away the first few of his Relativity and Radiation and sent others on loan. Thanks Lockhart for arranging the purchase of his works by the [Aberdeen] university library. It is slow work sorting out parcels of publications to send as he and his wife are only using one room in their house because of the fuel shortage. Lanchester is also under the weather: 'I can no longer work in the garden like a navvy and three or four hours a day at my desk is as much as I can tackle.'
