Shore and the “workshops”, the buildings, system of study, etc.); leisure time in Southampton; Normal School of Science (the staff, C.C. Boys and others, the popularisation of the use of the slide rule, Frederick Lanchester’s pendulum accelerometer), evening classes at Finsbury Technical College. Except for the fact that this is headed “First draft”, there is no indication and no internal evidence whether these notes and memoirs came before or after the autobiography.
