Scope and Content

Covers period up to at least 1926 including Honorary Fellowship of the Royal Aeronautical Society, but does not go so far as the award of the Guggenheim Model, 1931. In this account Frederick Lanchester gives most attention to his automobile work with the Lanchester companies. Also mentioned are his work with the Forward Gas Engine Co., Lanchester’s Laboratories Ltd., Daimler Company, White and Thompson Ltd, and war work (1914 – 1918).
