These are pulls from the blocks used at the time of printing George Lanchester’s paper on his brother in the Newcomen Society Transactions. They show: Plate L. Fig. 1. The first Lanchester car, as made in 1895, with 5 H.P. engine amidships; Plate L. Fig. 2. As converted in 1897, with 8 H.P. engine and redesigned transmission; Plate LI. The “Gold Medal” two-seat 8 H.P. Phaeton, 1898.
