The freight only branch to Port Dinorwic Harbour took off the Caernarfon to Bangor line on the Up side via a trailing connection controlled from Port Siding signal box. When the line was singled in 1965 the freight branch was taken out of use and the signal box demolished. The house remained until the 1990's when part of the trackbed was used for the Port Dinorwic by-pass. Today there is no trace of the railway presence on this site, although a short distance towards Caernarfon the trackbed became a private access road.
