Scope and Content

File of press cuttings relating to the 1980 theatre production of Camelot. Press cuttings relate to: interviews with Philip Burton, Christine Ebersole (RB’s co-star in Camelot), critical reviews, theatre programme, newspaper advert announcing Camelot has set a national box office record, interviews with RB, RB’s visit to a prison in San Quentin, tributes to John Huston and the planned television series Wagner. Also includes 3 letters: TS letter (7 April 1977) from Paul Ferris to RB relating to Ferris’s new biography of Dylan Thomas and his proposal to write a book about RB; MS letter (31 March 1977) from David Lilienthal to RB on the subject of energy resources; TS letter (10 June 1977) from Kenneth Richards to RB regarding a portrait. Also includes photocopies of 2 articles regarding President Carter’s stance on energy resources and environmental policy (dated December 1976 and March 1977) and instructions for a portable type-writer (in French).
