Did not know Beaton was back yet. His letter came to Lausanne, where she had had to stay on alone after catching a chill. Had written him a very long letter after the return from Dalmatia. Was distressed to hear all had been like that as she knew how upset he had been about his father. Answered his letter at Alice's but has heard nothing since. Paris is delicious as John is still away. It is so "filthily cold" that it is cruel to be reduced to "gay little 'spring numbers'!". Asks Beaton to come over for Edouard's "repetition". Hopes Beaton is feeling better.
Autograph letter signed to Beaton, from France.
