John Hanwell, formerly of Glympton held one messuage and courtyard, close and croft, 12 acres of arable land and 2 acres of meadow from Thomas St. John, Lord of Glympton, for knigh service valued at 6s8d, as at 30 Jan [1398] 21 Ric II. Phillippa, dau and heir of John was 8 months 5 days old on death of John.

17 June [1407] 8 Hen IV, Phillippa now aged 10 years and unmarried is carried off by John Basyng and wife Agnes. Thomas St. John has wardenship and is granted damage of £50
