Scope and Content

CERTIFICATE: Order from Matthew Wilson Esq. Justice of the Peace for the West Riding of Yorkshire, to Treasurer of the West Riding of Yorkshire to pay to the Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Skipton, the sum of £7 10s 0d, which they have paid for the period 23rd March 1812 to 6th July 1812 to Sarah, the wife, and four children under 10 years old, of Thomas Roper, serving in the embodied Militia of the County of Anglesey as a Substitute for John Roberts of the Parish of Llangefni

Appended: NOTE: that Thomas Roper was discharged from the Regiment on 20th November 1812.
