Very miscellaneous papers relating to Bowden's latter days at Ferranti. This includes some non-work papers relating to Babbage and Ada Lovelace, Faster than thought and Bowden's patent for a clock; one letter from Alan Turing 3 March 1953, concerning loan and return of some slides. There are also work-related papers including a copy of a highly critical memo by Bowden of the working of the Ferranti computer at the University of Manchester, 27 January 1953, and Dr Valley's work on controlling aircraft with the Air Ministry.
