War Relics Exhibition Papers
Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
In August 1955 a four-day war relics exhibition was organised by the local branch of the British Legion at Menai Bridge, Anglesey, north Wales. Relics of seven wars dating from Napoleonic times were assembled which were regarded so highly that it was reported in the North Wales Chronicle that Legion members took turns to sleep at the venue to guard the collection at night.
