Scope and Content

LETTER: R. Mon Williams, Holyhead to (H. R. Davies) thanking him for kind letter and postal Order. The information regarding H. R. D's grandfather was derived from "Methodistiaid Porthaethwy" by Cadwaladr Davies, published in 1888 which states that Richard Davies started business at Menai Bridge in 1830 and for the first two years it was managed by William Hughes of Llandrygarn before John Davies took charge. He states that according to to some books John Davies started the business in 1830, but he believes that Mr Cadwaldr Davies would have the true facts in his Book. He hope that the remarks about the Davies family in the book written by him are satisfactory to all concerned.
